She’s known today as a Cayman Islands horse: fiercely independent, deeply intuitive, and impossibly resourceful. These qualities once made her misunderstood, even overlooked—but they are the very traits that shaped her into a healer.
Orphaned young and placed into the care of a tourist company, Sofi was deemed too small and too strong-willed for trail rides. She was left to roam a 10-acre field, expected to fade into the background. But fading was never her way.
Each day, Sofi climbed through fences—literally—to visit Tricia and her horses next door. Not out of desperation, but out of choice. Curiosity. Courage. For a year, she made the first move… until one day, Tricia made it back. Sofi was welcomed into the herd she had already chosen as home.
