Ellen’s Story
Ellen’s story is one of remarkable resilience. Initially a temporary guest, she soon became an inseparable part of Allesha Mitchell’s family.
At five years old, Ellen embarked on a new chapter when it was decided to have a foal from her, leading to the birth of Jack (another of our Heartists). During this period, Ellen faced a challenging battle with moon blindness, a recurring uveitis in horses. With the assistance of a veterinarian and dedicated persistence from Ellen, they managed to save one of her eyes from this condition.
Ellen has overcome the loss of vision in one eye, she is a testament to her extraordinary strength, teaching us a lesson about resilience in the face of adversity. Her story is a reminder that with determination and the right support, we can overcome life’s challenges and emerge even stronger.
Ellen’s nurturing nature extends not only to her role as a mother to Jack but also to her interactions with people. Her soothing and guiding influence has touched many hearts.
