Giselle was never a typical horse. From the moment Tricia met her, it was clear she wouldn't fit a lesson program. Not because something was wrong, because something much bigger was trying to come through.
She was sensitive, expressive, and profoundly aware. Her resistance wasn't defiance. It was a horse that knew her own nature and wouldn't pretend otherwise.
Tricia brought her home. What followed was a relationship built on trust, honest communication, and a willingness to listen in a new way. Giselle became the foundation of everything HeartWorks would become. She taught Tricia how to be with horses differently. And through that, how to be with life differently.
Giselle has since passed. She is our spirit horse now. And she is still painting.
Her companion Summer paints on her behalf, carrying her intention forward. The paintings that come through are Giselle's; Summer is simply the one touching nose to paper on her behalf.

These are the colours Giselle returns to most. Her palette is a living thing and shifts with each session. These are simply where she begins.
Orange moves emotion gently, the way water finds its way around a stone. Crimson holds the courage it takes to let something go. Soft Pink is the quiet that comes after. Magenta holds the space when you're between one version of yourself and the next. Bright Yellow clears what's been clouding your thinking, without force. And Pale Lemon the lightest possible reminder that something new is already forming.
