Ellen
She has been through the kind of thing that changes a body. And she shows up anyway — steady, warm, completely herself.
"Warm without trying. Present without effort."

Ellen came into Allesha's life and never left. Allesha is the barn manager at HeartWorks, caring for every animal artist in the herd. Ellen is Jack's mother and Scout's companion — and is truly a grounding presence that holds the whole farm steady.
When Ellen was five, she was diagnosed with moon blindness — a recurring uveitis that threatened her vision. With consistent care and a lot of determination, one eye was saved. The other was lost.
She didn't change. That's the thing about Ellen. She kept showing up in exactly the same way — nurturing, present, unhurried. Her name carries the warmth she embodies. She doesn't announce it. She just lives it.
When she paints, she brings that same quality into the work. A steadiness that holds. The kind that reminds you that you don't have to be whole to be enough.

These are the colours Ellen returns to most. Her palette is a living thing and shifts with each session. These are simply where she begins.

Amber soothes what's been on high alert. Vermillion anchors the body back into itself. Orange wraps around what needs warming. Chocolate is the deep, unhurried steadiness of earth. And Copper quiet illumination, the kind that glows from the inside out.
