The Blanket Donation Project

Help us send a horse's love around the world.

A nonprofit initiative. Every dollar goes towards funding another blanket, and helps us wrap someone in the special loving feeling from our horses.

So how does a horse end up sending blankets to strangers?

The Origin

Spreading love across the world

HeartWorks began from love. It came from the deepest part of our founder Tricia's heart.

She knew, deep down, there had to be a way to spread love, care, and soothing support across the planet.

This is where the animals come in.

The HeartWorks herd has 8 horses, 1 dog and 1 cat. And if you're an animal lover, you already know the calming power in an animal's presence.

With their permission, each animal paints from a space of intention and love using our HeartMath®-integrated process. The result is a palpable feeling.

So we took that and put it on blankets, so anyone can wrap themselves in the calming feeling of a horse. And because every bit of our process has love baked into it, we know you can feel it.

And what happened next is what made us open this whole thing up.

Tricia started bringing blankets to her friends, to her family, to people she knew were having a tough time, who she felt could just use that extra-long hug to hold space for them. It was a gift of caring in the way she knew would help. From her heart, and from the horses.

The response? A profound feeling of love. Each blanket receiver felt cocooned in love.

The wheels spun, and soon she knew exactly what she wanted to do.

The first donation was 50 blankets to the paediatric ward at Integra Healthcare in Grand Cayman. She went with our horse Sofi's blanket called "Delight", a loving, playful feeling. And since Sofi herself is from Grand Cayman, she thought it was a perfect match.

Jackson was the first little boy at Integra to receive one. He's three, and he's had it with him ever since.

What's Next

We would love to reach out further

Fifty blankets was just the beginning. There are more people out there. In hard weeks or long recoveries. In any of the seasons where being wrapped up and held in something truly special would matter.

We can't get to all of them alone.

But we can if you're in it with us.

Every donation, whatever size, adds up. When enough of us pitch in, another blanket goes out. Another animal painting travels somewhere it's needed. Another person opens a package and finds a horse looking back at them.
